About The Position

Millcroft Inn & Spa is currently seeking a Part-Time Night Auditor/Guest Service Agent to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity that can provide flexibility, valuable work experience, and a chance to work with a tenured team. This posting is for an existing within Lais Hotel Properties Limited. To balance daily revenue and cash receipts and reconcile numerous reports on daily business transactions for the Millcroft Inn and Spa.

Responsibilities

  • Front desk duties include check in/check out procedures
  • Responsible for reports & photocopies
  • Performing accounting procedures
  • Balancing all departments in Food and Beverage
  • Answering phones in a professional manner
  • Working with IVY, Maestro & Infogenesis systems
  • Taking reservations inquiries on an occasional basis and checking availability
  • Taking messages and forwarding to the appropriate departments
  • Dealing with Guests in a professional service-oriented manner
  • Responding to Guest complaints
  • Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
  • Actively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needs
  • Carry out scheduled weekly cleaning tasks to maintain presentation standards
  • Follow and accurately complete departmental checklists
  • Able to deal with minor disputes and noise complaints in a calm and professional manner
  • Performing minor maintenance when required
  • Responsible for evening Guest requests
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Carries out all duties in accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Proactive on personal health and safety by properly using or wearing all protective equipment required for your position, maintaining an ergonomically correct workstation, and using proper lifting techniques (lift with knees)
  • Reports the absence of or defect in any equipment or protective device, which may endanger yourself or another Team Member as well as reporting all hazards to your Supervisor/Manager
  • Reports to Management and seeks treatment immediately for all accidents and/or injuries, no matter how slight they may seem
  • Must report all back strains, and other common illnesses or injuries that result from the duties of this position
  • Properly operates any equipment, machine, device or work-related item, or work in a way that will not endanger yourself or other Team Members. Works with equipment at a safe speed with the proper protective equipment being used
  • Ensures that photocopier, fax machines and printers are stationed and supported and are used in a safe manner
  • When driving for company purposes, abides by all Ministry of Transportation driving rules to provide safety to themselves, clients and others on the road
  • Not engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct. Do not endanger yourself by not asking for help when needed
  • Do not carry more than you are physically able to do
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines as outlined in orientation and from your Manager/Supervisor
