About The Position

Flex is seeking a Night EDM Operator for their Buffalo Grove, IL location. This role reports to the Tooling Manager and is responsible for setting up and operating wire and sinker machines, inspecting work pieces, and creating setups or fixtures for accurate setups. The ideal candidate will maintain the organization and cleanliness of the EDM department, perform preventive maintenance on machines, inspect and document finished items, and ensure machines are operational. This is a night shift position.

Requirements

• 1 – 3 years of Wire and sinker EDM set experience
• Experience on CNC machines and able to operate more than one machine at a time
• Common hand tools and inspections gages
• General tooling equipment background
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Night shift availability

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate wire and sinker machines
• Inspect work pieces
• Create setup or fixtures for accurate setups
• Maintain the organization and cleanness of the EDM department
• Perform preventive maintenance on the machines in the department
• Inspect and document finish items
• Keep machines going
