About The Position

Perform cleaning services to all areas of Iona University. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of university spaces.

Requirements

• Some knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning agents.
• Valid Driver's License.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting all assigned areas such as bathrooms, offices, classrooms, auditoriums, and gymnasiums.
• Climbing a ladder to clean windows.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Collecting and disposing of garbage and recyclables from all trash containers and bringing them to designated areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, stripping, and buffing hardwood floors where necessary.
• Reporting any faulty building functions such as lights, doors, locks, and bathroom fixtures to the supervisor.
• Assisting the snow removal department when needed.
• Performing any other duties as requested.
• May require overtime.
