About The Position

The Night Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the operations of the central pharmacy during the overnight shift. The position ensures that medications are dispensed accurately and timely and works with hospital personnel to support safe and efficient patient care. The pharmacist also manages orders for off-site NICU patients and oversees medication preparation by pharmacy technicians.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor’s degree (BPharm) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Texas Pharmacist license.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric and/or hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders for inpatient and ambulatory clinic patients.
• Work closely with hospital personnel to ensure safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
• Ensure all orders for off-site NICU patients are appropriately managed.
• Perform pharmacokinetic, antimicrobial, and anticoagulant monitoring.
• Oversee medication preparation by pharmacy technicians.
• Perform activities and duties assigned to meet routine and urgent departmental needs.
• Manage operations of the central pharmacy during the overnight shift and ensure medications are dispensed accurately and timely.
