About The Position

The Night Cleaner cleans common spaces, rooms, restrooms, and breakrooms at a school after hours. The role helps create cleaner, healthier environments for customers, students, and grounds by performing facility-cleaning duties using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures. The schedule is Monday through Friday after 5 p.m.; occasionally, the start time may be later because of after-school or weekend events. The listed pay range for the lead is $15–$18 per hour, with opportunities for advancement within the company. On-the-job training is provided to people with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Requirements

Ability to distinguish between cleaning products and understand their uses.
Flexibility and ability to work at a fast pace while handling multiple tasks.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Ability to stand, walk, push, kneel, twist, and reach for up to 100% of the work time.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
Custodian, janitor, or housekeeper experience is a plus but is not required.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper.

Responsibilities

Perform facility cleaning using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
Sweep, mop, polish, remove trash, clean restrooms and windows, and dust.
Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment.
Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
Open and lock facilities and enable or disable the security system as required.
Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude.
Support the team by wearing a uniform and being dependable and punctual.
Treat coworkers and customers with courtesy and respect.
Perform other duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
