Responsibilities

  • Audit, reconcile, and report on various hotel areas (e.g., F&B, rooms/front desk, gift shop) to provide accurate and timely information, ensure compliance with company and hotel policies, and prevent fraud.
  • Professionally and courteously attend to arriving, departing, and in-house guests, providing timely and accurate information and services.
  • Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
  • Audit, reconcile, and report on all cash and credit operations in F&B outlets, including checks, cash balances, balance sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, accounting records, etc., and reset all cash drawers to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Audit, reconcile, post, and report on front desk operations, including room charges, phone calls, zero balance accounts, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, cash balances, deposits, etc., ensuring accuracy and adherence to correct cash handling procedures.
  • Audit, reconcile, prepare, verify, and report on room information to provide the rooms management area with a clear picture of their performance.
  • Prepare and input statistics and income sheets into the accounting ledger for daily reporting.
  • Reconcile and close all bank ticket codes daily.
  • Execute the night audit closing after confirming all revenues are reconciled.
  • Welcome and complete check-in procedures for arriving guests daily, using manual and computerized methods, to ensure guests are satisfied and assigned to requested rooms.
  • Facilitate guest check-outs daily following established manual and computerized procedures to close accounts and release rooms for the next sale.
  • Maintain good guest relations by being informed of all house and area events to answer questions and resolve concerns in a timely and knowledgeable manner, both in person and by telephone.
  • Operate the PBX system, accepting incoming calls, assisting with outgoing calls, programming and managing wake-up calls, and locating guests to provide timely and efficient service.
  • Perform the functions of a Front Desk Agent, including express check-outs.
