About The Position

The Hiltons on Canyon, located in the new Heart of Boulder, is seeking a Night Auditor to join their amazing Front Office team. This role involves auditing, balancing, and reporting on various hotel operations to ensure accuracy, adherence to policies, and fraud prevention. The position requires responding professionally and courteously to guests, providing accurate information, and handling inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, cash register, and calculator.
  • Ability to compile facts and figures.
  • Telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills.
  • Moderate hearing required to communicate with guests.
  • Excellent vision required for viewing of CRT screen.
  • Excellent speech communication skills required to communicate with guests over the telephone.
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy required for reading daily reports, numbers, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting background preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets' cash and credit operations, including checks, over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, and postings. Reset registers to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Audit, balance, post, and report on front desk operations, including room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, and deposits, ensuring accuracy and proper cash handling.
  • Audit, balance, and prepare reports on room information to provide management with performance insights. Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports.
  • Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily.
  • Run the night audit final after ensuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
  • Greet and process check-in procedures for arriving guests using manual and computerized methods to ensure guest satisfaction and room requests are met.
  • Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established manual and computer procedures to close guest accounts and prepare rooms for the next sell.
  • Maintain good customer relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to provide timely and knowledgeable responses to guest inquiries in person and over the telephone.
  • Operate PBX equipment, handle incoming and outgoing calls, schedule wake-up calls, and page guests to provide efficient service.
  • Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.
