About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for processing all guest check-ins and check-outs, handling payments, and managing guest communications. This role involves running daily reports, balancing cash drawers, and ensuring guest satisfaction by providing information and assistance. The position also requires adherence to company safety and security policies, maintaining a professional appearance, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors. The role emphasizes creating exceptional guest experiences in line with The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards."

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
  • Ability to process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
  • Ability to process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.
  • Ability to answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
  • Ability to coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
  • Ability to communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  • Ability to supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
  • Ability to run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.
  • Ability to complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.
  • Ability to cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks.
  • Ability to count bank at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Ability to balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
  • Ability to follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
