About The Position

Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent Fairfield Dayton Downtown Do you enjoy helping people, solving problems, and working independently? Are you at your best when others are winding down for the night? If so, Fairfield Dayton Downtown is looking for a Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the overnight face of our hotel, you'll create exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the property's daily financial records are accurate and complete. This role combines hospitality, customer service, and attention to detail, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using computers and learning hotel software systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year customer service experience.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Computer experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
  • Answer phones and assist guests with questions and requests.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Complete the nightly audit process and reconcile daily transactions.
  • Prepare reports and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Monitor hotel security and safety throughout the overnight shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
  • Communicate important information to hotel leadership and team members.
  • Attend to the needs of guests, balancing the revenue and expense transactions that occurred during the day, and performing all the functions of the front desk staff during the audit shift.
  • Take appropriate action to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
  • Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
