About The Position

The Night Auditor balances revenue and settles accounts nightly, maintains files, and resets the system for the next day of operations while also performing Guest Service Agent tasks and duties. This role involves performing bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits, keeping records of room availability and guest accounts (manually or using computers), and preparing and distributing daily reports. The Night Auditor is also responsible for auditing and reconciling cashiers, auditing, reconciling, consolidating, and transmitting all credit cards on a timely basis, and inputting and updating financial information into the BRAINS network. Additionally, the position requires checking guests in/out, performing Guest Service Agent tasks, responding to guest inquiries, resolving complaints, being aware of guest satisfaction scores, and working towards increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. The role also involves practicing safe work habits, wearing protective safety equipment, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous night audit/accounting experience or equivalent training required
  • Computer knowledge/Excel and arithmetic skills required
  • FSD required within 90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • FSD is a plus
