About The Position

The Night Auditor at voco, The Shelby Myrtle Beach, SC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for accurately reconciling daily financial transactions and preparing detailed reports that support the hotel's accounting and management teams. The Night Auditor also provides exceptional guest service by handling check-ins, check-outs, and addressing guest inquiries or concerns during the night shift. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Ultimately, the Night Auditor helps maintain the integrity of the hotel's financial records and contributes to a positive guest experience during off-peak hours.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Opera experience.
  • Previous experience as a night auditor or in a similar hospitality accounting role.
  • Familiarity with Marriott’s brand standards and property management software.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of hospitality industry operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nightly audit of all hotel financial transactions, including reconciling accounts and preparing daily revenue reports.
  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently while ensuring accuracy in billing and room assignments.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns during the overnight shift.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and resolution of any operational issues during the night.
