About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for assisting guests in a sincere and courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction by promptly processing arrivals and departures. This role involves verifying daily charges, posting room charges, and maintaining accurate guest accounts. The Night Auditor will also demonstrate knowledge of hotel services, facilities, and the local area, handle reservations, operate the telephone system, and act as the manager on duty in the General Manager's absence. Additionally, the position requires understanding and applying hotel safety and security procedures, reporting any significant issues to supervisors, and performing various front desk tasks including check-in, check-out, sales, computer operations, and telephone management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Register and process guests promptly upon arrival and departure.
  • Verify that all charges to guest accounts made during the day are correct, and post room charges so that all guest accounts are current and in balance by the designated time.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area, and effectively assist guests.
  • Complete all credit card transmittals, direct bills, and no show billings for the day.
  • Prepare all daily, monthly and yearly reports required by the property.
  • Demonstrate the use of sales techniques to effectively sell the property, maximizing occupancy and average rate.
  • Receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations accurately.
  • Operate the telephone system according to Auro Hotels and Brand standards.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager.
  • Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Responsible for check-in, checkout, selling skills, computer operation, telephones, and tasks at the front desk.
