About The Position

My Place Hotel is hiring a dependable Night Auditor to run the front desk overnight and complete the nightly audit paperwork that keeps hotel operations accurate and secure. This position is the overnight problem-solver and information hub-supporting late arrivals, handling guest requests, keeping records organized, and completing the audit checklist before the morning shift arrives.

Requirements

Friendly, guest-focused approach with calm communication during overnight situations.
Strong organization and attention to detail-accuracy matters for guest folios and nightly records.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and comfort learning hotel systems.
Dependable attendance and professionalism handling cash and sensitive guest information.
Prolonged standing and regular movement through the building during rounds (including stairs).

Responsibilities

Manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs during the night shift while maintaining accurate guest folios.
Ensure charges are posted correctly for room/taxes, My Store purchases, and any applicable pet fees in line with policy.
Serve as a reliable resource for guests by answering questions about the hotel, amenities, and the surrounding area.
Respond professionally to guest concerns or complaints and document issues for follow-up.
Complete the night audit paperwork and keep communication logs accurate.
Maintain the Night Audit Checklist and keep required documentation organized, including cash and call logs.
Update the Front Desk Log consistently and review notes from prior shifts.
Complete laundry and help keep workspaces guest-ready by completing light cleaning and organizational tasks.
Tidy and stock the front desk/lobby area, vacuum or dust as needed, and support laundry by washing, drying, folding, and storing linens.
Follow security procedures, perform regular property checks (floors, stairwells, exterior doors), and document any unusual activity or hazards.
Check exterior lighting and report problems.
