About The Position

The Hiltons on Canyon (Embassy Suites & Hilton Garden Inn Boulder – Canyon Boulevard & 28th Street) is seeking a Night Auditor to join their Front Office team. This role involves auditing, balancing, and reporting on various hotel operations to ensure accuracy, adherence to policies, and prevention of fraud. The position requires responding professionally to guest inquiries and concerns, providing accurate information, and facilitating check-in and check-out procedures. Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, cash register, and calculator.
  • Ability to compile facts and figures.
  • Telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills.
  • Moderate hearing required to communicate with guests.
  • Excellent vision required for viewing of CRT screen.
  • Excellent speech communication skills required to communicate with guests over the telephone.
  • Excellent comprehension and literacy required for reading daily reports, numbers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets (e.g., restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations, including checks, over/short figures, tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, and postings.
  • Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk, including room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, and deposits.
  • Audit, balance, and prepare/verify reports on room information to provide insights into performance.
  • Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports.
  • Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily.
  • Run night audit final after ensuring all revenues are in balance nightly.
  • Greet and complete check-in procedures for arriving guests using manual and computerized methods.
  • Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established manual and computer procedures.
  • Maintain good customer relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to answer guest questions and concerns.
  • Operate PBX equipment, including accepting incoming calls, assisting outgoing calls, scheduling wake-up calls, and paging guests.
  • Perform the duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.
