About The Position

Process daily audit of the hotel’s financial data. Handle the requests and transactions of the hotel guests, and coordinate with the other departments as necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be able to handle the requests and transactions of the hotel guests.
  • Must be able to coordinate with other departments as necessary.
  • Must be able to verify each Front Desk shift’s transactions.
  • Must be able to process credit card transactions.
  • Must be able to post tax charges to all guest folios.
  • Must be able to finalize transactions completed during the day.
  • Must be able to create and/or print required reports.
  • Must be able to file or transmit reports as directed.
  • Must be able to verify and prepare registration cards for arriving guests.
  • Must be able to prepare folios for departing guests.
  • Must be able to handle hotel phone system, transfer calls, and take messages for guests as well as hotel staff.
  • Must be able to take, modify and cancel guest reservations.
  • Must be able to verify, balance and review hotel suite availability.
  • Must be able to check in/out guests.
  • Must be able to perform “express checkout” duties.
  • Must be able to verify departure dates and offer to make future reservations.
  • Must be able to post telephone charges, valet charges, and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts.
  • Must be able to administer guest payment policies.
  • Must be responsible for shift cash transactions.
  • Must be responsible for maintaining hotel key security system.
  • Must be able to administer guest safe deposit boxes.
  • Must be responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures.
  • Must be able to coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
  • Must be able to communicate facilities and services to guests at check-in.
  • Must be able to answer guest questions regarding local area facilities.
  • Must be able to follow the rules as found in the M&R Employee Handbook.
  • Must be able to perform other duties as assigned by management, of which employee is capable of performing.
