About The Position
The NGB J52 Senior Strategic Analyst supports National Guard equities within broader Joint and Department of Defense strategy and planning efforts. The role reviews strategic guidance, analyzes implications for the National Guard, and develops recommendations, policy inputs, and decision-support products for senior leaders. It translates national-level strategy and planning requirements into actionable insight to help NGB leaders make informed decisions and position the Guard within the national defense enterprise. The position is full-time and on-site in Arlington, Virginia. It requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The anticipated start date is ASAP, salary range is $102,500–$111,000, and travel is less than 5%, as required.

Responsibilities
- Review Joint Strategic Planning System documents and related strategic guidance.
- Conduct analysis and recommend comments, inputs, and courses of action.
- Conduct research and analysis to support senior leader efforts to advance National Guard equities.
- Develop strategy, policy, and briefing products in support of National Guard strategic initiatives.
- Prepare national-level strategy and policy papers and briefings for General Officers, Flag Officers, and DoD Senior Executives.
- Participate in meetings and workshops concerning National Guard missions and priorities.
- Support coordination with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and other DoD stakeholders.
- Help identify strategic issues, risks, and planning considerations that may affect the National Guard.
- Manage competing priorities and adjust to changing requirements and deadlines.
