About The Position

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the location services and associated technologies within a 9-1-1 or NG9-1-1 (Next Generation 9-1-1) environment. These services are crucial for accurately determining the location of emergency callers and ensuring that calls are routed to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

Requirements

• Strong understanding of 9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 technologies and standards.
• Expertise in IP-based infrastructure for NGCS.
• Experience with GIS and location-based data management.
• Knowledge of network monitoring, device-based emergency location services, and cybersecurity for 9-1-1 networks.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining location services and associated technologies within a 9-1-1 or NG9-1-1 environment.
• Ensuring accurate determination of emergency caller locations.
• Ensuring calls are routed to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).
• Working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data to ensure accurate location information for emergency calls.
• Integrating location services with Next Generation Core Services (NGCS).
