About The Position

US Path Labs has an opportunity for a Histology Technician in our dynamic and fast growing dermatopathology lab located in Boca Raton, FL. To join our team, you must be HT or HTL ASCP certified, and Florida licensed, with the ability to precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques. We are looking for a positive and eager team player. This is an in-person, full-time position. New, licensed grads are welcome!

Requirements

• Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist.
• Florida licensed.
• Ability to precisely and accurately perform a variety of routine and specialized histology techniques.
• Experience working in a lab is almost always a must.
• AS/BS in Biological/Physical Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HT or HTL ASCP certified and Florida licensed (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Positive and eager team player.
• New, licensed grads are welcome!
• Minimum of 2 years current Histology experience.
• Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue samples by fixing, staining, dying, trimming, and other methods.
• Identify and document technical issues, quality assurance, and procedural improvements.
• Use, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, and keep a clean, disinfected work space.
• Receive, log, and document patient specimens and accompanying forms.
