About The Position

KSEE24/CBS47 in Fresno, California is seeking a news reporter. The ideal candidate thrives in covering breaking news while also possessing the ability to delve deeper into issue-driven stories by connecting with real people, going beyond surface-level reports. The reporter will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting facts about newsworthy events through interviews and investigations for all platforms, ensuring clarity, engagement, and meaning for the audience. This role involves reporting news stories for both broadcast and digital platforms, providing background and details on events and issues. The reporter will gather information through research, interviews, and attendance at various functions. A key aspect of the role is ensuring all content adheres to company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality, as well as interacting with viewers on social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Superior on-air presence
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Flexibility to work any shift
• Must join SAG-AFTRA union

Responsibilities
