About The Position

WGXA is seeking a part-time News Production Assistant to support newscast production. The role operates Deko, audio, or camera equipment for morning, evening, and weekend newscasts; prepares newscasts, including preparing all fonts to air; prepares the studio and set; maintains studio lighting; and edits tapes. Training will be provided. Experience is not necessary, though education and/or an internship in television or a related field is preferred. The position requires weekend availability, with other hours needed on occasion.
