About The Position

KKTV, the dominant CBS affiliate in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is looking for a hybrid digital content/broadcast producer to work with our growing team. The ideal candidate will have broadcast producing experience and digital content producing experience. The successful candidate will have experience in both media and have a passion for local journalism and a solid work ethic. Candidates must have demonstrable writing skills, knowledge of video editing, and experience with content management systems, including social media.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in journalism, mass communication, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous local news experience.
Previous experience creating/editing photography, graphics, and video.
Demonstrable writing skills.
Knowledge of video editing.
Experience with content management systems, including social media.

Responsibilities

Develop multimedia content suitable for KKTV’s digital and social media platforms.
Develop broadcast newscasts.
Assist reporters and anchors in creating content for all platforms, including social media.
Edit text, audio, and/or video as needed for all platforms, including social media.
