About The Position

The producer delivers and contributes accurate, visual, news content across all media platforms, including broadcast and streaming. The ideal candidate has worked as a successful producer and knows how to present news that gets our viewers’ attention. We want a smart, passionate, and creative thinker who writes conversationally.

Requirements

Must be able to interact well with anchors, reporters, videographers, news managers, production and engineering staff.
Detail oriented.
Excellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skills.
Strong news judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations.
Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Ability to meet quality standards for service & evaluate customer satisfaction.
Bachelor’s Degree (TV/film or equivalent experience may substitute) + 2 (two) years’ experience in television broadcast/production.
Utilize state-of-the-art television technology; MS Outlook, E-mail.

Responsibilities

Evaluating stories and organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast.
Writing strong, active copy that matches video.
Overseeing production and timing of broadcast newscasts.
Contributing story ideas to the editorial process, working collaboratively with reporters, and making solid decisions in breaking news situations.
Monitoring postproduction processes to ensure accurate completion of details.
Writing, producing, and editing material that appeals to target audiences.
Researching production topics using the internet, video archives, and other information sources.
Assisting with production of streaming shows on KOIN+ streaming platform.
Executing strategies that engage and grow audiences across all digital devices.
Contributing to digital and social platforms as needed.
