A good appreciation for feature journalism, reader interests, and subscription value is also essential. The position requires flexible working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Requirements
- Strong editorial judgment and excellent headline writing skills.
- Experience curating breaking news for a national or international audience.
- Experience working at a magazine, newsroom, or digital platform.
- Deep familiarity with the UK and US media landscape, including major writers and journalists.
- Proficiency with various CMS and social media platforms, and an understanding of editorial support tools.
- Fluency with data and analytics, and the ability to incorporate user behavior into editorial strategy.
- A keen understanding of local news and strong publishers across UK cities and regions.
- Experience covering major sporting events.

- Curate daily news, features, and sports coverage from Apple News publishers, emphasizing quality writing, in-depth reporting, and accuracy.

- Provide context and explanations for complex news stories, often under tight deadlines.
- Develop high-profile packages for significant news events and major issues.
