News Anchor/Reporter - Kvvu
About The Position
KVVU, FOX5, a Gray-owned station in Las Vegas, is seeking an anchor/reporter. The position involves anchoring and reporting each workday, generating strong story ideas, and producing and reporting stories for on-air and digital channels. All anchors also report. Daily anchoring is typically one hour, though this can vary based on assignment. FOX5 Las Vegas produces 16 hours of local news each weekday. The role is suited to journalists who prioritize reporting and also want regular time at the anchor desk. Candidates must be experienced in handling breaking news and live field coverage. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those described above. Requirements
- At least three years of experience as a reporter and anchor in a TV newsroom.
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and pitch strong enterprise (original) story ideas that support the FOX5 “Local Las Vegas” brand.
- Strong writing ability.
- Ability to tell engaging stories through visual mediums.
- Experience handling breaking news and live field coverage.

- College degree preferred, but not required.
