About The Position

KSLA News 12 is seeking an Anchor/Reporter with an investigative mindset to join their investigative team. The role involves contributing to the station's investigative brand by researching complex stories, filing public records requests, mining data, and producing content for various platforms. The ideal candidate will be able to respond to breaking news with an investigative lens, uncovering the 'story behind the story.'

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a newsroom environment as an MMJ or reporter.
• Experience with investigative coverage is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Journalism/communication or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside lead investigators to contribute daily to the investigative brand.
• Help turn complex stories into compelling content.
• Research content, file public records requests, and mine data to add depth and context.
• Write and produce content for all platforms, including website, apps, streaming desk, and social media.
• Respond quickly to breaking news with an investigative lens, looking for the 'story behind the story.'
