About The Position

KSLA News 12 is seeking an Anchor/Reporter with an investigative mindset to join their investigative team. The role involves contributing to the station's investigative brand by researching complex stories, filing public records requests, mining data, and producing content for all platforms. The position also requires responding to breaking news with an investigative lens and anchoring assigned newscasts across broadcast and digital platforms.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a newsroom environment as an MMJ or reporter.
• Investigative coverage experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Journalism/communication or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside lead investigators to contribute daily to the investigative brand.
• Help turn complex stories into compelling content.
• Research content, file public records requests, and mine data to add depth and context.
• Write and produce content for all platforms – website, apps, streaming desk, social media, etc.
• Respond quickly to breaking news with an investigative lens, looking for the "story behind the story."
• Anchor assigned newscasts across broadcast and digital platforms.
