About The Position

KSNB Local4 is looking for a high-energy Weekend Anchor/Streaming Anchor/MMJ to anchor our weekend broadcasts, drive live OTT streaming coverage, and report high-impact stories across Central Nebraska. This role blends aggressive reporting with cutting-edge digital streaming and broadcast anchoring.

Requirements

• Comfort and charisma whether anchoring live on a streaming desk, seated at a traditional anchor set, or going live from the field on a smartphone.
• College degree in journalism (or equivalent professional experience) with proven newsroom chops in shooting, writing, and editing on deadline.
• An intuitive understanding of what hooks digital audiences on OTT channels, connected TVs, and social video platforms.
• Hands-on operational experience with camera gear, non-linear editing (Edius), and newsroom production software (ENPS).
• The ability to go live on the fly during breaking news, synthesize fast-moving facts, and keep viewers informed with clarity and calm.
• A collaborative attitude, strong ethics, and genuine curiosity about the people and stories of Central Nebraska.
• Valid driver's license: Clean driving record and the flexibility required for the daily rhythm of breaking news.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a weekend anchor & producer for scheduled linear newscasts, writing conversational copy and collaborating with producers to execute tight, engaging broadcasts.
• Assist our live digital desk for streaming newscasts, breaking news cut-ins, and extended deep-dive coverage tailored specifically for OTT platforms and connected TV apps.
• Pitch, shoot, write, and edit high-impact local stories across Central Nebraska that prioritize truth, community context, and strong character-driven visuals.
• Push breaking updates, live streams, and custom video content straight to mobile, web, and social feeds before the evening broadcast even airs.
• Shoot on ENG gear and edit under tight deadlines using industry workflows like ENPS and Edius without sacrificing speed or accuracy.
