About The Position

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group/Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns is seeking three dedicated Pediatric hospitalists to join their team in San Diego, California. This is a 1.0 FTE Full-Time position. The hospitalist will be responsible for newborn rounding and managing all calls from nurses and consults. Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital and delivers more babies than any other hospital in California, with a Level III NICU. The group averages over 4,000 deliveries per year and the hospital delivers approximately 9,000 babies annually. The average census is 19.5 babies per shift, with a minimum of 5 babies. Night call is taken from home, one night out of 25, covering all pediatric patients. Occasional virtual pediatric care appointments or after-hours shifts at other locations may be required.

Requirements

• Must be able to receive hospital privileges
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in pediatrics
