About The Position

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking three dedicated Pediatric hospitalists to join their team at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns in San Diego, California. This is a 1.0 FTE full-time position. Sharp Mary Birch Hospital is Southern California’s only standalone women’s hospital and delivers more babies than any other hospital in California, with approximately 9,000 deliveries per year. The hospital features a Level III NICU. The role involves newborn rounding, handling nurse calls, and consults, with an average census of 19.5 babies per shift. Night call from home is required one night out of 25, covering all pediatric patients. Occasional virtual pediatric care appointments or after-hours shifts at other locations may also be required. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a premier, physician-led, multi-specialty group in a highly desirable coastal city.

Requirements

• Must be able to receive hospital privileges
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in pediatrics
