This position is for an Electro Mechanical Technician with high-level experience in electrical connector assembly, cable assembly, and wired soldering/crimping termination within a prototype/development environment.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of mechanical assembly technology and electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Expert knowledge of soldering and crimping wiring techniques and processes.
  • Working knowledge of electrical test equipment: Voltmeters and multichannel testers for low-mid voltage and low current.
  • Hand soldering/IPC certification.
  • Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, blueprints/drawings.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint/drawing symbols.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and report updates to group leads.
  • Highly self-motivated, a willingness to make a difference and learn.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with different engineering team members.
  • Working knowledge of computer basics.
  • Ability to travel to our Nogales Mexico facility for product transfers.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in electrical connectors and the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Electrical Cabling terminology and construction knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, repairs, upgrades, and tests electronic and mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Works under the guidance of Product Engineering in a New Product Introduction (NPI) development environment.
  • Supports development by providing feedback and potential improvements to enhance product production capabilities.
  • Provides training for other operators/technicians as the product matures into production.
  • Understands and follows all ITT safety policies and procedures, including workplace inspections, safety training, and job safety analyses.
  • Handles visibility to export documents.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
