About The Position

The Mac NPI Program Manager leads the team within Worldwide Operations and serves as the primary operations interface to the core product development team and other functional organizations at Apple. As the product owner, the NPI Program Manager ensures successful product launches that meet cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience goals. The role connects Operations and Engineering teams with factory teams throughout development builds and new product introduction, including handoff to Sustaining Operations Management. International travel of up to 20–25% is required.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
• Experience working with offshore manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management.
• Exceptional ability to build relationships.
• Clear and consistent communication skills.
• Ability to use data to drive decisions and take action.
• Enthusiastic and motivated.
• High attention to detail while managing several workstreams.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20–25%.

• Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead ramp availability for all product modules in coordination with Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other internal and external teams.
• Ensure security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are in place at manufacturing partners.
• Drive responsive supply chains that optimize cost, operational flexibility, and quality.
• Assess, analyze, consolidate, and clearly communicate risks and status to management; identify key issues and present resolution options to the cross-functional executive team through new product reviews and other executive forums.
• Connect Operations and Engineering teams with factory teams across development builds and new product introduction, including product handoff to Sustaining Operations Management.
