About The Position

We are seeking a New Product Development Manager (NPD Manager / Engineering Manager) to join a leading manufacturer in the power generation and critical infrastructure sector near Tulsa, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in power generation, packaged equipment, or large industrial systems, with strong leadership capabilities across product development, engineering, manufacturing, and applications teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within product development, power generation, or industrial packaged systems.
  • Previous experience as a NPD Manager, Product Engineering Manager, Power Generation Engineering Manager, Product Development Manager, Systems Engineering Manager, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of reciprocating natural gas generator systems and packaged equipment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAT, Waukesha, or similar large-bore engine platforms.
  • Knowledge of SCR systems, emissions compliance, acoustics, airflow, and thermal management.
  • Experience within mission-critical power, data centers, or oil & gas infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product development activities for natural gas generator systems and packaged power solutions.
  • Oversee system-level integration including engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, enclosures, ventilation, exhaust systems, SCR emissions systems, switchgear, and controls.
  • Develop product roadmaps and technical strategies based on market requirements and customer feedback.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, applications, and service teams through full product lifecycle development.
  • Drive design-for-manufacturability, design-for-serviceability, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs, P&IDs, technical documentation, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product launch activities.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to optimize system performance and product reliability.
  • Evaluate site-level considerations including acoustics, airflow, thermal recirculation, and emissions compliance for large-scale installations.
