About The Position

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR company, is hiring a New Product Coordination Intern to join its Resident Engineering team in Denton, Texas. The internship is for students currently enrolled in college and supports new-product pilot builds at the Peterbilt Denton factory. The intern monitors builds, helps identify and resolve issues, supports corrective-action documentation and rework, and investigates process-automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Technology degree program, or a related program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor new-product builds, locate trucks with requests for engineering assistance, and collaborate with functional groups to resolve issues during pilot builds.
• Support timely corrective-action documentation for new-product pilots assembled in the Peterbilt Denton factory.
• Conduct sweeps related to issues found during pilot-build events and support rework efforts as needed.
• Investigate and implement process-automation opportunities related to planning for and supporting new-product build events.
