Requirements

Customer service and data entry experience required.
High School diploma required.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures, as well as services provided to patients.
Knowledge of medical billing and insurance.
Knowledge of computer systems, programs, and applications.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication and patient relations.
Ability to work effectively with physicians, other medical staff, and external agencies.
Ability to identify and analyze referral and authorization problems.

Responsibilities

Communicating with new patients regarding appointment questions and availability.
Maintaining incoming provider referrals, voicemails, and website contact forms.
Answering new patient calls from messages on voicemail.
Completing demographic intake, including insurance information.
Sending new patient packets through the patient portal.
Answering inquiries from the website.
Entering new patients into the schedule, monitoring for canceled appointments, and verifying all new patient appointments are filled in the schedule.
Monitoring the new patient contact and waitlist.
Scheduling re-establishing patients and outside semen analysis appointments.
Verifying copayments.
Pre-collecting for services.
Gathering referral and authorization information.
Answering a high volume of incoming calls.
Communicating clearly and professionally with patients.
Serving as back-up to the front office, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
