About The Position

The New Patient Coordinator is the first point of contact for new patients seeking a Provider with Tri-State Health. This employee answers phone calls, emails, and online inquiries from potential patients seeking a new Physician. Answers questions for new patients with navigating the process of finding a Provider that can meet their needs. Gathers detailed and accurate medical and financial information from the new patient. Works with Provider and Provider’s staff to get acceptance of a new patient. Gathers medical information from the patient and works with face sheet and scanning department to insure the patient has an electronic chart prior to the first visit.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED, required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office or hospital setting.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service.
  • Utilize a multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier and scanner to process patients.
  • Have a contagious and positive work ethic that inspires others.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication that is clear and well organized.
  • Make each customer feel informed, understood, and special through genuine and positive communication.
  • Adhere to business standards of conduct and compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related course work or comparable experience, preferred.

  • Report potentially unsafe conditions to management.
  • Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work environment and professional appearance and adhere to health and safety procedures.
