The role also involves supporting fosters in using volunteer management software and utilizing foster observation notes to create adoption profiles. Additionally, the coordinator will oversee the Adoption Ambassador program, maintain relationships with community partners and business sponsors, and coordinate foster participation in community events. On the departmental sustainability front, the coordinator will produce documentation, supervise staff and volunteers, maintain accurate records in database software, complete reports, and assist with budget development and supply ordering. Support for shelter operations includes promoting foster outcomes to manage shelter capacity, participating in population rounds, observing animal behavior and health, and contributing to lifesaving decision-making processes, including discussions about humane euthanasia.
