About The Position

Mitchell Homes, a leading "Build On Your Lot" homebuilder with over 30 years of experience in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland, is looking for a motivated and results-driven New Home Sales Consultant to join their Newport News Sales Center team. The company emphasizes delivering exceptional homes and outstanding customer experiences, guiding clients through the process of building their dream home on their own land. They seek a high-performing sales professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and skilled at managing clients from initial consultation to contract signing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping customers achieve homeownership, possess strong attention to detail, and be adept at process management. While a real estate license is not required, prior new home construction or high-value consultative sales experience is highly preferred. Candidates with a proven track record in sales performance and relationship-building are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in sales with a strong closing record.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • A real estate license is not required, but prior new home construction or high-value consultative sales experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Guide prospective clients through the custom home building process, presenting home designs, features, upgrades, and financing options.
  • Manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contract execution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and lending partners to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records using our CRM system (Lasso) and other internal tools.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service that fosters referrals and repeat business.
  • Maintain strong follow-up and pipeline management to maximize sales opportunities.
