New Graduate RN Acute Care Specialty Units
About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring new graduate Registered Nurses for its Acute Care Specialty Units at the Indianapolis Campus. The role provides new graduate nurses with structure, mentorship, and hands-on experience to support the transition from student to professional nurse. Nurses provide comprehensive care to patients and their families by listening, assessing patients, developing plans of care, implementing interventions, and reassessing and evaluating care. Specialty units include Orthopedics/Neuro, Adult Inpatient Rehabilitation, Medical-Surgical, Post-Surgical, and Geriatrics.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program is required.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Team-oriented approach and willingness to be flexible and dynamic in meeting patient care needs.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and assess patients as part of comprehensive patient care.
- Develop, implement, reassess, and evaluate plans of care for patients.
- Provide care in an assigned acute care specialty unit.
- Collaborate in goal-driven care to help rehabilitation patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.
- Provide compassionate, holistic care to older adults with acute and chronic health needs.
