Jefferson Healthcare is offering a 12-month RN Residency Program for new graduate registered nurses seeking a dynamic and enriching transition-to-practice experience. This program includes clinical experiences, didactic education, simulations, and individualized support from experienced nurse educators to prepare novice nurses to provide excellent care. The program emphasizes investing in nurses as the organization's most valuable resource. New graduates can expect 12-16 weeks of orientation with 1:1 preceptor supervision, ongoing support from nurse educators for the first year, smaller cohort sizes for individualized attention, shadowing opportunities, and the chance to cross-train to other departments. The RN will be hired into the New Graduate RN Residency Program and must complete all associated training and education. The New Graduate Acute Care Unit RN is responsible for providing nursing care based on the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), promoting continuity of care, and meeting patient needs and expected outcomes. RNs are also expected to delegate and supervise support nursing staff.
