New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
MetroWest Medical Center is seeking new graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) and externs for their Emergency Department, Telemetry, and Cardiac Step Down units. They are recruiting for May and August 2026 graduates. The program offers a supportive community of clinical educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents, promoting hands-on learning to develop clinical and critical thinking skills. MetroWest Medical Center is the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston, comprising Framingham Union Hospital, Leonard Morse Hospital, and the MetroWest Wellness Center. The New Graduate RN program is a comprehensive 12-month curriculum designed to build a strong foundation in the nursing profession, focusing on delegation, priority setting, holistic patient care, interdisciplinary communication, and professional relationships. Participants will experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures. The organization has been recognized by Healthgrades and the Joint Commission for its quality of care.
Requirements
- Graduated from state approved school of nursing or an accredited school, or currently enrolled in nursing school with a graduation date within the next 6 months.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
- CPR certification.
- Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening which includes a drug screen.
- Proof of full vaccination or an approved religious or medical exemption for COVID-19 vaccination prior to start date, with regular testing if an exemption is granted.

Responsibilities
- Will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and competent patient care.
- Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct nursing care to assigned patients.
- Assume responsibility for the supervision of staff to whom nursing care is appropriately delegated.
