About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Observation Unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The unit is a 23-bed medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of conditions affecting multiple body systems. The nursing staff on this unit has diverse levels of knowledge and experience, with many holding certifications. The nurses are described as highly skilled, motivated, and committed to providing safe, cost-effective, and evidence-based nursing care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
