MetroWest Medical Center is seeking new graduate Registered Nurses (RNs) for their Emergency Department RN Residency Cohort, starting August 31. This program is designed for nurses who have prior Emergency Department experience (including EMTs, ED Technicians, and Paramedics) or new graduates who completed a senior practicum or capstone in the ED. The residency offers a fast-paced, supportive environment with expert mentorship, hands-on learning, and a collaborative team to develop confidence and critical thinking skills for emergency nursing. The 12-month program focuses on creating a solid foundation, developing delegation and priority-setting skills, holistic patient care through interdisciplinary communication, and establishing professional relationships. Residents will experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures. MetroWest Medical Center is the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston, comprising Framingham Union Hospital, Leonard Morse Hospital, and the MetroWest Wellness Center. It has been recognized by Healthgrades as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals.
