New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) – Advanced Heart Failure Cardiac Unit
About The Position
7B is a 19-bed advanced heart failure intermediate cardiac unit, including 14 high-acuity beds designed to support critically ill patients requiring a progressive level of care. Our staffing model allows for a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in high-acuity settings. We provide specialized care for complex cardiac patients, including those requiring: Invasive hemodynamic monitoring (PA/Swan-Ganz catheters), Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs), Pre and post–heart transplant management, Bedside sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED), Inotropic therapy management. 7B teammates play a key role not only in acute care but also in the long-term management of advanced cardiac devices. This facilitates building meaningful, ongoing relationships with patients. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
