Our high-acuity Cardiac Stepdown units provide specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including myocardial infarction, chronic heart failure, cardiac dysrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and patients recovering from cardiac procedures and interventions. Nurses care for patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based cardiac care throughout their recovery. These fast-paced units offer an excellent opportunity to build advanced cardiac nursing skills while caring for a diverse patient population. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- New grad or less than one year RN work experience or if experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience
- If in critical care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Certification upon or within first year of hire

Responsibilities
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients’ medical records.
