About The Position

This is a full-time position for a New Grad Registered Nurse on the 9A Stroke Neuro Telemetry unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The 9A unit is a 24-bed neurological telemetry unit specializing in adult and geriatric inpatient care, designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Care Unit. Nurses on this unit manage patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks, encephalopathy, and other complex neurological conditions. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to ensure the safest patient environment and best patient experience. The unit fosters a strong culture of collaboration, learning, and support, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
