About The Position

This role involves providing for patient needs through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), organizing and supervising care provided by support staff, and coordinating care with ancillary services. The position includes educating patients and their families about their conditions and care plans, serving as a patient advocate, and providing care for patients with various medical conditions, surgical needs, chronic illnesses, and minor injuries.

Requirements

  • Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel
  • Coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate
  • Responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
