About The Position
R.J. Kielty Plumbing, Air & Electric is looking for a motivated New Construction HVAC Estimator Apprentice to join our New Port Richey office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HVAC field experience who is ready to develop a career in estimating.
Requirements
- Strong computer skills are required
- Ability to read, or willingness to learn how to read, construction plans
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Willingness to learn HVAC estimating software and industry requirements
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Must be able to pass a drug test
Nice To Haves
- Prior HVAC installation experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing accurate HVAC estimates for residential new-construction projects
- Review construction plans, specifications, and equipment requirements
- Perform material takeoffs and help calculate labor and equipment costs
- Enter and maintain project information in estimating and bid-tracking software
- Communicate with builders, vendors, and internal team members
- Help ensure bids are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
