About The Position

This associate is responsible for the neutralization of process chemicals that become contaminated or unfit for resale. Other responsibilities include processing returned containers that must be cleaned and neutralized for either recycling or disposing. The role involves supervision of the wash-down process operation area, including personnel assigned to those duties. The associate will be responsible for all neutralization pools and operations in the area, including pool maintenance, water control, disposal of chemicals into pools, monitoring, adjusting, and balancing. Responsible for documentation of procedures and record keeping according to Company, state, and local rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Understanding of basic chemical processes in an industrial environment.
  • Understanding of wastewater operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentations for company, state, and local regulations.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain water quality going in and out of the plant as part of the process (production rooms drain flushing).
  • Make sure water flow to all rooms is sufficient and water quality is within established guidelines.
  • Ensure all pumps and pools are maintained in a clean and operating state as required.
  • Monitor pool levels and water quality and dispose of as needed and prudent with due diligence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform any and all responsibilities as given by supervisor.
  • Give instructions, help, and supervise wash-down process operators in that area.
  • Understand the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) effectively in conjunction with company guidelines.
