About The Position

BayCare Medical Group (BMG) is seeking three Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Night Floats to join their well-established Adult & Pediatric Neurosurgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. The team includes four experienced Board-Certified Neurosurgeons and three advanced practice providers. This role offers an opportunity to work within a high-volume, high-acuity specialty and is ideal for a candidate who is team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate with a desire to grow in neurosurgery.

Requirements

Experience in an acute care setting.
Required experience in neurosurgery.
Acute Care certification is required.
DEA required or ability to obtain.
Passion for learning and strong interest in working in neurosurgery.
Board certified and ability to obtain a Florida license.

Responsibilities

Night float position with a primary focus on inpatient neurosurgery coverage.
Provide overnight support for neurosurgical patients, including new consults, admissions, and cross-coverage.
Collaborate closely with on-call neurosurgeons to ensure timely evaluation and management of acute patient needs.
Assist with inpatient care coordination and continuity of care during transitions between day and night teams.
Participate in weekend coverage as part of the overall night float rotation.
Function as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality neurosurgical care.
