About The Position

We are seeking a Neurosurgeon specializing in Neuro-Oncology for a Locum Tenens position in Tampa, FL. This inpatient role involves providing clinical coverage for neuro-oncology patients with brain and spinal tumors. The schedule is flexible, requiring 1-2 days per week on-site, with coverage needed ASAP and ongoing. The agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance. You will collaborate with an existing neurosurgeon to evaluate and perform complex neuro-oncology surgical cases, provide expertise in surgical management of brain and spinal tumor patients, and participate in telehealth conferences and multidisciplinary discussions for pre-operative case review and surgical planning. Support for continuity of care through post-operative consultation and follow-up is also expected. Consistent weekly availability for surgical cases and virtual care coordination is required.

Requirements

  • Board Certified (BC)
  • Florida (FL) or IMLC License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Fellowship required
  • Extensive experience in neuro-oncology surgical cases
  • Experience with Multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Experience with telehealth conferencing

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with existing neurosurgeon to evaluate and perform complex neuro-oncology surgical cases.
